Well these are strange times aren't they? Not being allowed outside, not being able to see friends and family, and, worst of all, not being allowed a good old pint of beer in a pub.
As someone who loves a good trip to the pub or five, it's that last one that really stings, but alas I shall not let that get me down or stop me from trying different wonderful beers this country has to offer, hence this blog.
Here I shall be trying various ales, stouts, bitters, simply anything really that will help make this lock-down just that little bit more enjoyable. I'm hoping to get my hands on some glorious local tipples that will be completely new to me, as well as ordering in some of my absolute favourites that I have discovered across this great brewing nation.
I see this as not only an incredible way to support independent breweries and bottleshops in these trying times, but also as being an epic way to justify my drinking. I am drinking beer in order to keep people informed, entertained and in work, that's right folks, not all superheroes wear capes. Well, maybe at weekends.
So sit back and enjoy some reviews that I promise will involve plenty of rambling, puns, dad jokes and most importantly, great beer.
